A 3D Toothbrush that simulates on a screen the movement of an actual toothbrush in your mouth. It uses an accelerometer on the toothbrush, a custom-made algorithm, a microcontroller, and OpenFrameworks.
Areas: Concept & Execution, Hardware and Firmware development

The goal of this project is to simulate on a screen the movement of an actual toothbrush in the user’s mouth.
An accelerometer/gyroscope is connected to the toothbrush. A microcontroller imports the data into OpenFrameworks. A custom-made algorithm then translates the data into the movements of a 3D toothbrush on a 3D scanned typodont.
